The Parking Lift That Fits a Real Garage: the Daytona LFPP9 9,000 lb Four Post Parking Lift

Most people who want a parking lift do not have a shop. They have a two car garage with a project in one bay, a daily that lives outside, and a spouse who has opinions about that. The lift that solves it has to be the one that actually fits the building you already own.

The Daytona LFPP9 is the smallest four post in the Daytona range and the one most home garages can take. 179.7" long and 104.1" wide overall, standing 91.3" tall, with 9,000 lbs of capacity and 70.9" of clearance under the runways. That is enough to put a car overhead and park a second one below it.

Safety comes from four mechanical locking devices with primary and secondary locks and a single point manual release. It runs on an ordinary 120V single phase circuit at 1.5 HP, anchors into a standard 4" slab, and ships with a steel tool tray, three plastic drip trays, and a removable tilting aluminum approach ramp. The runways adjust for different track widths.

Check the ceiling and the door track first. The lift is 91.3" tall and the car on top adds to that. Call a Pitstop Pro lift specialist and we will work through the height, the slab, and whether your garage door opener is in the way. Compare every storage lift, see all 4 post car lifts, browse rolling bridge jacks, or view the full Daytona lineup.

Benefits of the Daytona LFPP9

The smallest footprint in the range
179.7" by 104.1" overall, which is about 15 feet by 8'-8". If a parking lift has ever looked too big for your garage, this is the one to measure against.
70.9" of clearance underneath
Nearly six feet from the floor to the underside of the runway, which puts a car overhead with room to park a second one below and still walk between them.
Four locks, primary and secondary
Each of the four mechanical locking devices carries both a primary and a secondary lock, released from a single point. A car may sit up there for a whole season, so the locking is the part that matters.
120V power, 4" slab
1.5 HP at 26 amps on 120V single phase, anchored into a minimum 4" slab at 3,000 PSI. No 240V drop, no three phase service, and no pouring a new floor.
Trays and tilting ramp included
A steel tool tray, three plastic drip trays, and a removable tilting aluminum approach ramp all ship with the lift. The drip trays keep the car parked below clean.
Engineer stamped and production approved
Heavy-duty 3" cylinder, aircraft quality lifting cables, and a matted powder coat finish. The dimensional drawing is certified and published, so you can plan the garage off real numbers.

Key Features of the Daytona LFPP9 Parking Lift

9,000 lb capacity, 70.9" of rise: Driven by a heavy-duty 3" cylinder with aircraft quality lifting cables. The deck travels from 4.7" to 70.9", so it also sets a working height when you want to service rather than store.

Advanced locking system: Four mechanical locking devices, each with a primary and a secondary safety lock, and a single point manual release so lowering is one deliberate action.

Runways: 164.2" long and 19.3" wide each, with adjustable spacing to suit different track widths.

Drive-thru clearance: 81.8" between the columns at the runways, with 87.3" of inside width between the posts. Worth checking against the width of the vehicle going underneath.

Removable tilting aluminum ramp: It tilts up out of the way and lifts off entirely when you want the floor back. Aluminum keeps it light enough to handle alone.

Footprint: 179.7" long by 104.1" wide overall, standing 91.3" tall, with columns on 161.1" centers.

Included: One steel tool tray, three plastic drip trays, and the removable tilting aluminum approach ramp. The LFPP-WHL wheel kit and the RAJ5 rolling jack are sold separately.

Daytona LFPP9 Frequently Asked Questions

Will this fit in my home garage?

It is the most likely of the Daytona four posts to fit. The lift occupies 179.7" by 104.1", about 15 feet by 8'-8", and stands 91.3" tall. The height is usually the deciding factor rather than the floor space, because you need the 91.3" plus the car going on top. Measure to the lowest obstruction, which is often the garage door track or the opener rather than the ceiling.

Should I get the 9,000 lb or step up to the 10,000?

The LFPP9 covers cars, crossovers, and most half ton pickups, in the smallest footprint Daytona builds. Step up to the LFPP10 for more capacity and a longer runway, or the LFPP10-XLT for crew cabs and full size SUVs. Both need more room in every direction.

How wide a car can park underneath?

Drive-thru clearance is 81.8" between the columns, with 87.3" of inside width between the posts. That takes most passenger cars comfortably, but mirrors on a wide truck are worth measuring before you commit. Clearance overhead is 70.9" to the underside of the runway.

Can I use it to work on a car, not just store one?

Yes, within limits. The deck travels from 4.7" to 70.9", so you can set a comfortable working height. Add the RAJ5 rolling jack if you need the wheels off. A four post lift keeps the vehicle on its own wheels by default, so for suspension and brake work the jack is not optional.

Does it really run on a normal 120V outlet?

It runs on 120V single phase at 1.5 HP, drawing 26 amps. That is a dedicated circuit, not a shared one, and 26 amps is more than a standard 15 or 20 amp household receptacle will carry. Have a licensed electrician confirm the circuit and breaker before the lift arrives.

Can I move it once it is installed?

With the optional LFPP-WHL wheel kit, yes. It bolts casters to the column bases so the lift can be rolled within the garage, and ships as a 40" x 24" x 10" package weighing 120 lbs. Without it the lift stays where it is set, so order the wheel kit with the lift rather than after.

What concrete does it need?

A minimum of 4" of 3,000 PSI concrete, level within 3/8" across the installation area, with no anchor placed within 6" of a crack, edge, or expansion joint. That is a standard residential garage slab, which is part of why this lift suits a home garage. Verifying the slab is still the customer's responsibility, and if you are not certain what is under your floor, core it before you order.

What is the warranty?

Five years structural, two years on power units, cylinders, and seal kits, and one year on all other defective parts. Daytona has served shops in the United States and Canada since 1999 and stocks parts in regional warehouses.
